Greetings from Yara! I've started playing Right Cry 6 and along with battling the fascist forces of Anton Castillo I've also been wrestle with a little of irritation. Whenever I quit the game to desktop, it automatically opens a tab in my web browser and loads the Twinge Furthermost Cry 6 category page.

I guess the implication is: you've just played Outlying Vociferation 6, so you must now be in the mood to watch early masses play Far Call 6! Well, no, I'm not. It's irritating and intrusive, not to mention forward. If it's happening to you, too, here's how to get it to stop.

The opening of the browser lozenge is actually controlled aside a Ubisoft Connect setting, not a setting within Far Scream 6. With Ubisoft Connect open, click the menu picture (trine horizontal lines) in the upper left corner. And then select Settings.

Low-level General, untick the second box that says "Enable post courageous notifications for upcoming releases, events, promotions and additions to my games." Having done that you won't get any little ads for Ubi games popping up after a session, and your browser won't open a Squeeze page when you quit to desktop.

If you practice Ubisoft Connect regularly you may have unticked that box a long, long time agone—I know I unchecked it because I remember quitting Assassinator's Creed Origins so getting a little pop-dormie ad suggesting I buy Assassin's Creed Origins. Empty-headed. But I recently reinstalled Ubisoft Unite along a new drive on my PC, thus the setting was enabled by default.

I don't really feature an issue with a game node saying 'Hey, you played one of our games, here's an ad for another of our games,' but opening a browser page and taking me to Twitch to see the game I just quit playing is pretty annoying. IT's definitely non the first time games have been weird when you decided to quit them. Remember those edgy games in the '90s that'd enjoin "Oh, you want to quit playing, you baby? Plow ahead and give up, coward!" Good times.

Christopher Livingston

Chris started playing PC games in the 1980s, started writing active them in the early 2000s, and (finally) started getting paid to write on them in the latterly 2000s. Following a fewer years as a regular freelancer, PC Gamer hired him in 2014, believably so atomic number 2'd stop emailing them asking for more work. Chris has a love-hate relationship with survival games and an unhealthy fascination with the inner lives of NPCs. Atomic number 2's also a buff of offbeat pretending games, mods, and ignoring storylines in RPGs thusly he can pull in sprouted his own.
